SIMULATION

Each of these caDNAno designs were tested in CanDo[1][2] to visualise how thermal motion or how
the fixing the wheel and shaft by staples with azobenzene moieties in the design above would affect the behaviour of the structure. The examined models are 1. Fixing, 2. Not fixing.

1. Fixed : The wheel and shaft is fixed by staple strands with azobenzene moieties.

2. Not fixed : The staple strands are dissociated by cis-trans isomerization of the azobenzene.
